I had a wedding gift registry set up with Amazon and included with many other kitchen essentials were several pieces from the Pfaltzgraff Cappuccino collection.

Having dealt with Amazon for years in ordering books for university, I thought Amazon had it together when it came to packing and shipping. Unfortunately, that only applies to their books. Several of my shipments arrived damaged, including a large set of Calphalon cookware. Cracked dishes, repacking, and trips to the UPS store were not what I had in mind in the weeks before my wedding.

And to think all this could have been avoided had Amazon invested in a few rolls of "FRAGILE" sticker tapes.

The colors of coffee and frothy milk combine to create a light tan shade, and that's the dominant color in Pfaltzgraff's Cappuccino casual dinnerware pattern. Set against gleaming white, the tan has an appealing translucent quality, and ridges encircle the plate rims and bowl and the mug bottoms for textural interest. This set consists of four complete place settings: an 11-inch dinner plate, an 8-inch salad/dessert plate, a 20-ounce soup/cereal bowl, and an oversize 13-1/2-ounce mug. Made of durable stoneware, Cappuccino pieces are chip-resistant and oven-, freezer-, microwave-, and dishwasher-safe. All dinnerware carries a three-year warranty against defects, and each piece can be replaced individually.
